Spencer Lehy & Geoffrey Lehy – Hog Hunt Saturday March 14, 2015
I want to first start out by thanking John, Craig and Mickey for such a great experience! My father came down from Cape Cod, Ma and really wanted to shoot a hog and that he did! I stumbled across Boars Nest Hunts online and read all the great reviews! I’m now writing one myself! It was such a great experience from the moment we arrived. My father and I met Craig as soon as we pulled up. We all jumped in the Polaris Ranger so Craig could give us a tour of the property. He started out by showing us all the stands/feeders on the property. While rounding a corner on the tour, we saw several hogs! Once we saw this, we were very impressed and the adrenaline was flowing from here on out! The layout on the stands was perfect! You couldn’t ask for more.
Once we arrived back at the cabin from Craig showing us the lay of the land, we both gathered our gear and weapons of choice. We both then hopped in the ranger and I dropped my father off at one stand and I went to another. Approximately, 45min into the hunt I heard a shot fired, and received a text, that (3) pigs were down with one shot! My adrenaline was really flowing at this point! Another 45 minutes go by without seeing a hog, but I hear another (2) shots fired, another text… 200lb Boar down! I went by to help my father load all (4) pigs shot into the ranger. We then sat at his feeder for the remainder of the Hunt. I shot (2) myself before heading in and calling it a day!
What a great hunt! We then called Mickey for pig cleaning services. He came by and cleaned all the pigs we shot and also brought some ice along for our coolers. He did such a great job cleaning and was very fun to chat with! Overall, we had a great time at Boars Nest Hunts, and we will be back for many more great hunts and memories to last a lifetime!
Sincerely,
Spencer & Geoffrey Lehy
